Female prisoners in Tarsus on hunger strike for 25 days

MERSİN - Four female prisoners held in Tarsus Women’s Closed Prison has been on a hunger strike since March 15, 2018.
Four female prisoners held in Tardus Women’s Closed Prison started an indefinite-irreversible hunger strike on March 15, 2018. The prisoners named Kania Ağırman, Songül Coşkun, Şilan Çetiner and Fatma Berfe, who started the hunger strike with demand of an end to the aggravated isolation on the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the attacks on Afrin, called the public to support them.
The call of the women is as follows; “As four political prisoners started an indefinite-irreversible hunger strike to appeal our two demands to be met. We call on all international organizations and public opinion to show awareness and to raise their voice in order to end the war and ongoing atrocity.”
