GIRKÊLEGÊ - Arab women living in the Girkêlegê city of Qamishlo Canton reacted to the attacks on Afrin and they said the resistance of people in Afrin would succeed.

 

Attacks of Turkey and Free Syrian Army (FSA) have entered the 10th day. Arab women living in the Girkêlegê city of Qamishlo Canton reacted to the attacks on Afrin and they said the people of Afrin weren’t alone.

 

‘As Arab women we will rise for Afrin’

 

One of Arab women Mûna Alnasir condemned the attacks on Afrin and she said “The people of Afrin refuse to leave their lands. The people living there are now being targeted and killed by airstrikes and whole world just watch this. Where is their justice and democracy? Turkey denies the equality and democratic system built in Rojava. But our wills are getting stronger as long as they attack us. As Arab women, we keep our resistance and we will grow our solidarity with the people of Afrin.”

 

‘Unity of people will win in Afrin’

 

Meryem İbrahîm meanwhile pointed out the unity of people and democratic system built in Northern Syria. Meryem said, “We condemn this genocide imposed on the peoples. Today’s attacks on Afrin are the attacks on all peoples living in Rojava and Northen Syria. We will not accept the slavery and colonialism against these dirty attacks. Every day, we will speak out for Afrin, resist with the people of Afrin and fight until the attacks of these gangs stop.”
