NEWS CENTER - In Sule Cet’s suspicious death case suspect Cagatay Aksu's family prepared a report  targeting the  journalists, lawyers, women's rights defenders and deputies.

 

It was claimed that 23-year-old Şule Çet, an university student in Ankara, committed suicide by jumping down the 20th floor of the plaza from Çağatay Aksu's office, which she used to work for, on May 29, but was suspected of sexual assault.

 

The case against the accused Çağatay Aksu and Berk Akand was opened with a demand of imprisonment  for life and 39 years of imprisonment for “deliberate killing” and “sexual assault and threat of liberty’’.The family prepared a report  called ‘’How the  Şule Çet case  misled the Public opinion? The facts of the case with official documents.”

 

The report, which was allegedly delivered to AKP MPs, targets journalists reporting on the issue to inform the public, women's rights defenders, lawyers and  MPs in the case.

According to bianet’s news the family argues that their aim is to share the real side of the Şule Çet case. 

 

Çağatay Aksu's family prepared the report and said "Trying to determine if this may be a suicide, accidental fall, a murder investigation or rape is natural."

 

In the report, the lawyers of Çet Family Umur Yıldırım, Ferhat Gebeş, Pelin Soylu and Onur Tatar are accused of ‘misleading the public’.

 

Again under the same title, spokesperson for Women's Defense Councils lawyer Rüya İnanır, Justice Commission spokespersons Ceren Çoban, Neslihan Duran, Nazlı Yöyler and Alev Özkiraz Melisa Demir are also accused.

 

According to the report, the social media account ‘Justice for Şule Çet’ incites public to hatred and enmity.

 

Journalists and MPs on target

 

In addition, journalists Evrim Kepenek, Fevzi Kizilkoyun, Erk Acarer, Ayse Arman, Inci Hekimoglu, Burcu Yildirim, Alican Uludag, Fatih Altayli, Pinar Dogu, Isil Ozgenturk, Cengiz Semercioglu, Nagehan Alci, Ece Uner, Hatice Ekinci were also targeted.

 

HDP deputy Filiz Kerestecioğlu and CHP Deputy Necati Tığlı, who followed the case, are also accused of misleading the public.

 

Gülsüm Kav, the spokesperson of the Women's Murders Platform, is also written as a member of the People's Democratic Party (HDP).
