Mothers calling out for peace: Hands off the Kurds! 2024-12-09 11:21:30     ISTANBUL - Istanbul Mothers of Peace Initiative reacted to the attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria by saying "Hands off the Kurds, enough is enough!" and called on everyone to unite around the struggle for the end of war and conflicts as soon as possible.   Turkey's attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria have been continuing since 27 November. Since the first day, protests have been organised all over Turkey and Kurdistan against the intensive war against Rojava and Syria. Mothers of Peace Initiative, which has been calling for peace for years, emphasised that the attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria must end immediately.   ‘Rojava is the capital of Kurdistan’   Stating that they condemn the war waged by the paramilitary forces supported by Turkey against the Kurdish people, Revşan Güler, Mother of Peace, stated that all Middle Eastern peoples should raise their voices to the call for mobilisation. Revşan Güler stated that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is no different from the DAIS gang and said the following: "How many dirty, occupying, genocidal gangs in the world, they were fed by Turkey, grew up and prepared for war. These gangs were raised for the Kurdish people. If they attack Rojava today, they can attack here tomorrow. These dirty gangs will spread all over the world. The massacres committed against Kurds today will be committed against everyone tomorrow. We must provide all kinds of material and moral support to our brothers and sisters there. Rojava is the capital of Kurdistan. Kobanê is a problem for Tayyip Erdoğan. In 2014 Tayyip Erdoğan was saying ‘Kobanê fell, it will fall’ but Kobanê did not fall. I believe in the resistance, struggle and fighting spirit of the Kurdish people; they will win again, they will succeed again."   ‘They want to genocide the Kurds’   Stating that wars are going on all over the world, Peace Mother Reyhan Akgül said that war and massacres will not benefit anyone. Noting that Turkey's attacks against the Kurdish people are immoral, Reyhan Akgül expressed the following words: "Turkey has been arresting our children for years, massacring them, burning our villages. It sets fire to our stone and soil. They do not even move their arms while prostitution and drug gangs roam the streets. But when it comes to Kurds, they commit genocide. We Kurds are not guilty of anything. We are subjected to these attacks only because we are Kurds. Neither Erdoğan nor his gangs brought us into the world. Allah created us. What do they want from us? Let the tears of the mothers stop now. This world belongs to everyone, not to him and his gangs."   ‘Hands off the Kurds!’   Reyhan Akgül pointed out that many civilians, including women and children, died as a result of the attacks and reminded that thousands of people were forced to migrate due to the war. Reyhan Akgül said, "They should stop persecuting us. Let them take their hands off the Kurds. Let them come and negotiate with the Kurdish people and put an end to this genocide. We are not genocidal and massacring like them. We want peace and justice; we have no other demands. Justice and peace are for everyone, not only for the Kurdish people. Let them listen to the Mothers of Peace; let them extend their hands to the Mothers of Peace."
