ADANA - Women of Adana, who said that all Kurdish people should flock to the Newroz areas wherever they are, expressed that they will wear all colors of spring and they will be in the Newroz areas like every year.

 

Adana is one of the cities making preparation for Newroz to be celebrated in 25 cities in the same day with the motto, “Let’s strengthen resistance with the spirit of Newroz; let’s gain the victory in Afrin”. “Newroz day will be Afrin’s the day of freedom,” said the women of Adana and they invited all people to the Newroz celebration.

 

“Newroz is the name of resistance” Şükriye Uçar said, “Newroz is the resistance festival of the Kurdish people and we should stand up for this Newroz more because the Kurdish people go through a difficult time.” Emphasizing the national unity, Şükriye said, “They killed, detained and jailed hundreds of young people. For this reason, we should unity in Newroz.”

 

‘Kurdish people should flock to Newroz areas’

 

Leyla Atak said that all Kurdish people should flock to Newroz areas wherever they are and she added, “Newroz is a very important and meaningful day for us as Kurds. All Kurds should stand up for Newroz. We are under pressure every day. They try to break our resistance. The people cannot even lift their head; enough is enough. We will attend the Newroz celebration with all our colors.”

 

‘The enthusiasm of Newroz will be the day of freedom for Afrin’

 

Sultan İke stated that they will welcome Newroz with the enthusiasm of March 8 and she said, “Women took to the streets and stood up for March 8 despite bans. The women will stand up for Newroz with this spirit. The enthusiasm of Newroz will be the day of freedom for Afrin.”

 

Güle Sönmez meanwhile said, “On March 21, we will wear our most beautiful clothes and flock to Newroz area. Newroz will be the spirit of freedom for Afrin and we will take to the streets.”
