IZMIR - 17 people were detained in house raids against HDP members and executives in Izmir.

 

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) members and executives in Izmir were raided in their homes in the morning on the grounds of their digital media posts. In the raid, it was stated that there were detention warrants for 20 people, and 17 of them were taken into custody. Among those detained are also HDP Torbalı District Co-chair Hüsnü Bitirmiş and HDP Karabağlar District Co-chair Şerafettin Yetim.

 

It was learned that the digital materials of the detainees were confiscated. The detainees were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate.
