Fire in forest area in Çukurca

HAKKARİ - It has been learned that the fire that broke out in the region for three days as a result of the fire opened by the soldiers in the Güzereş hamlet of Çukurca's Gelîyê Tiyarê valley has continued.
A fire broke out in the uplands of Güzereş (Cevizli) village in the Gelîyê Tiyarê (Kazan) valley of the Çukurca district of Hakkari. As a result of the fire opened from the military base area close to the region, it has been learned that the fire has been continuing for three days in the upland where the forest area and trees are located.
While the citizens living in the village were prevented from going to the plateau to extinguish the fire, according to some local sources, it was claimed that the fire continued intermittently and started again as a result of every fire opened by the soldiers.
It was stated that the region where the fire has been going on for three days has been declared as a ‘’private security’’ zone from January 22 to December 31, 2021, by the Governorship of Hakkari and that entrance and exit to the region is prohibited except for permissions.
