ANKARA - Yusuf Güzelyurt, one of the two perpetrators who raped Eda Nur Kaplan, was arrested upon the objection of the prosecutor's office, and Mehmet Ardıçoğlu was detained again.

 

Eda Nur Kaplan, who was raped by two men named Mehmet Ardıçoğlu and Yusuf Güzelyurt in Ankara's Çankaya district on June 30, ended her own life on August 7 as a result of the detain and release of only one of the perpetrators, Mehmet Ardıçoğlu, despite the complaint.

 

One of the perpetrators, Yusuf Güzelyurt, was referred to the courthouse after the police procedures, after being detained yesterday. The perpetrator Yusuf Güzelyurt, who was referred to the Magistrates Court on Duty for his arrest, was released on condition of judicial control.

 

As a result of the objection of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the decision to release the perpetrator, the Magistrates Court ordered the arrest of Yusuf Güzelyurt, while the other perpetrator, Mehmet Ardıçoğlu, was detained again.
