ANKARA - The Kobanê Political Genocide Trial continues with the defense of the politicians on trial. One of the defenders, HDP former MP İbrahim Binici said: "This attack is a bullet fired to peace and the will of the peoples of Turkey to live together."

 

3rd hearing of the Kobanê Political Genocide Trial, where 108 people, including the former Co-Chairs of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, and the former Co-Chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Sebahat Tuncel are on trial, it continues after the recess in Sincan Prison Campus on the 5th day.

 

‘This attack is a bullet fired to peace’

 

Speaking after the recess, HDP former Urfa Deputy İbrahim Binici commemorated Deniz Poyraz who was killed in the attack on the HDP İzmir Provincial Building and expressed his condolences. İbrahim said: “This attack is an attack on equal, free and peaceful living in together. It is a bullet fired to peace and the will of the peoples of Turkey to live together. The perpetrators of this work must be brought to justice sooner or later. I have stood against all forms of violence in every period of my life. In this sense, being on trial for the incidents that took place on October 6-8 caused deep sadness. I could not remain senseless to the human tragedy in Kobanê. To be sensitive to this, it is necessary neither to be in the region nor to be a member of parliament.’’
