DİYARBAKIR - The fire, which broke out in the forest area in Diyarbakır’s Dicle district, where operations were continuing, and which has not been extinguished for eight days, has spread to the villages of Elazığ province.
With the termination of the military operation launched in the Kurşunlu (Pirejman) Neighborhood countryside of Diyarbakır's Dicle district, a fire broke out in the forest area at the hill of Görese Mountain on June 1. The fire, which has lasted for eight days and has not been extinguished until today, spread to Bahçekapı and Çevrecik villages of the Arıca district of Elazığ with the effect of the wind.
While the citizens were trying to extinguish the fire spreading in the region with their own means, it was stated that the forests in Görese Mountain were completely burned, according to the information received from the citizens.
The villagers reacted
In the social media account opened on behalf of the village of Çevrecik, there was a reaction not to intervene in the fire. The villagers' sharing is as follows: "There are fake news on social media, we can't see anyone, there are no officials. All the superiors and soldiers who come are watching us and enjoying tea. The road is being built with construction machinery. This fire cannot be extinguished with a construction equipment. No effort is made. Isn't it a pity for these villagers, you put the nation in this situation at night. I refer you to Allah. We all know very well the cause of the fire, but unfortunately it is being covered up. No news channel reflects the truth. #trthaber #trt1 #ahaber #kanal23"
