URFA - The vigil of Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar, who say "We are determined, we will bring justice," continues on the 91st day.
The "justice" vigil in front of the Urfa Courthouse continues on the 91st day of Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s bodyguard and relatives, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack with injuries. Emine and Ferit, who continued the protest at home due to the restrictions imposed yesterday on the grounds of the pandemic, came back to the Urfa Courthouse today and started the vigil.
They will keep vigil for five days
Ferit Şenyaşar, who said that the seeking for justice left three months behind, said: "We risked death. We are determined, we will bring justice. My mother’s health problems are getting worse. She also refuses to be treated. If justice is provided, my mother will also agree to be treated. Here we stand in solidarity. We want sensitive people to support our struggle. Ferit stated that they changed their previous decision that they would continue their vigil in front of the courthouse three days a week, to five days."
Emine and Ferit shared that they will continue their protests at home on the weekend, in front of the courthouse five days a week, since the courthouse is closed.
The family shared the following message on their social media account: "We lighted a torch of justice in front of the Şanlıurfa Palace of Justice. Let nothing be left in the dark. The perpetrator of every incident that you do not punish continues to persecute by getting stronger. Come! Let's stop this persecution in front of the Şanlıurfa Palace of Justice."
